Syd over for the day!

This is kinda a silly picture but it was the only one I got when we had Syd over for the day! She is the daughter to my very best friend and the girls love her! We spent the day playing babies and watching Princess Gigi! What great fun we all had!

First Day of Tues/Thurs School

Well, the girls look really ready to go in the first picture. They actually came running in my room the morning of school and both of them saying "I'm not going to cry momma!" You see, they cried almost every day last year when I dropped them off. So this year I was really amazed that they were so excited about going. We talked about school every day when bubba started and kept telling them how in a week they would start. The second picture shows them getting kinda nervous and they know the time is coming. But still they triumph through and they didn't cry when it was time for mom to go. They did although try to walk after me out of the room but their teacher is so awesome, she stopped them and redirected them and they were great for the day! I on the other hand was sad all day long!

This is Rylan at his first game this year. He is usually not number 70 but is number 00. Thank goodness the new jerseys had come in on this day or Rylan would not have had a jersey! This was an extra one that the team had. Rylan had been to a birthday party the night before and left it in the other parents car and we didn't realize it until game time! Ugh. so frustrating! Whew, and dad was mad too! That is my goal is to PLAN AHEAD and get everything ready the night before! Everything seems to go so smoothly when that happens.
Sweet sweet grandad is in the red shirt talking to Rylan. He is such of Big Fan of Rylan and all his grandkids and greatgrandkids. We are so lucky to have him so involved! What a blessing he is!!! We love you Grandad!

This was just precious! I was washing dishes and heard the girls reading so sweetly. When I looked up I discovered the audience they had made. I think they are pretending to read like the ladies do at BSF! I am so thankful Russ has allowed me to stay at home and not work for this season in my life! BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) has been not only a blessing to me, but my girls learn every Wed. that the Bible is true and it is God Breathed! I am so lucky! We are also so lucky to have my best friend in the class with the girls this year! We are very sad that Syd is not in the same class though, but that is all in the plan of our Heavenly Father!

This is a couple of shots of what our girls do while we moms are "PTOing". Up top they are coloring and in the bottom picture they are holding the door open for all the kindergardeners.

Avery in the Brown and Micah in the orange shirt. This was our first day at Beltway Mops. The girls transitioned so well into their class that they stay in for the day. It also helped that they had their friend Aspen to look forward to staying with! WE LOVE OUR CHURCH! With Beltway hosting MOPS it sure helped the girls being dropped off in a familiar place. We had a blast this day and I came away very encouraged!

This is Russ talking with Rylan after his first game of a scrimmage. Russ and I are both proud of Rylan. He is doing so good in football. He is so much more advanced than last year. He gets in there and throw those big ol boys down and after he does that he is off chasing the receiver to get a tackle! This day Rylan had I think five and maybe even six games this day. We started at 10 and finished around 1:30. They only ran so many plays per game. It was crazy and fun! Teams came from all around. There were six games going on at all times. It was so hot this day! I was selling water and cokes for PTO. The girls ended up going home with a friend of mine to play with a little friend of theirs named Kloe. I was so thankful for Krista that day! It was a lifesaver because the girls would have been so miserable! When I went to get them they didn't want to go home and Kloe wanted them to stay. I am so glad God is answering my prayer for my children to have christians friends to grow up with!

Happy 4th Birthday Girls!

WOW !!! I can't believe it! Where has four years gone? Life passess so quickly yet so slowly at times. I told Russ after putting the kids to bed last night, Now our lives are going to go so fast!

I had such a pleasant day yesterday preparing for the girls party. I made two round cakes. I wanted both of the girls to have their own cake and also Avery kept saying she wanted a green cake and Micah kept saying she wanted a blue cake. Yes twins, just like other children have their own individual thoughts, ideas and desires. I picked up a strawberry cake from Walmart with some cream cheese icing and put food color in the icing to change the color. I had so much fun making the cakes. The girls woke up while I was in the shower so my amazing son came to the rescue! He made "a wall" around the cakes so his sisters could not see them on the stove cooling off. He pushed the cakes back into the corner and put our bread and a towel in front of the cakes which worked because the girls did not see them. Russ came from mowing gammy and pops yard and he was pulling a trailer with Raelynn in the back! The girls love Raelynn so much so they were quite surprised! Russ took the girls for a ride and I was off to ice the cakes. Gammy, Pops,Nanaw, Adreane and Raelynn were our guests later that evening.

Earlier I had hung pink streamers and balloons and had the green table cloth left over so I threw that on. I had done this in the morning. When I announced to the girls that today all they were getting was decorations for their birthday, Micah started crying saying I wanted a baby for my birthday, a baby that swims! It was so sad but little did she know, I had already gotten the doll for them. l

So later while everyone was outside playing, I put the cakes and presents on the table. The girls were so excited to come in and see the candles lit with presents on the table. We sang happy birthday twice, once to each girl. This made them feel so happy! When they were opening their gifts, they weren't allowed to look at each others gifts. It ruins the surprise for the one who sees the gift that has already been opened. I think later, we will turn the girls backs to each other so they won't be so rushed in opening. At times, they each unwrap slower than the other.
I absolutely loved seeing them giggle while we sang to them and then the pure surprise when they unwrapped that baby doll. I did get a little emotional as I always do. The cirlcle of life is so sad and joyous all at the same time!
